New Puppy and other thoughts

This is not a painting-yet...This is the newest member of my pack-3 month old british bulldog-Norma Jean. She is quite a special gal-like a painting-a clean slate ready to be worked on.Her coloring is so different-they call it cream merle.I have only had her a week so we are still all getting to know each other. My other girls seem to like her and hate her all at the same time. She has those needle like puppy teeth that are so very sharp. They should be gone in a few months and I hope we all survive the blood letting.I am remembering now how much work they are at this age.Stelle and Rubi were a little older when they came to me.As with all bully breeds-she will be a challenge to train so not as much painting is happening in my house. She will be worth that time and more when we are done. The prize at the bottom of the cracker jack box is the dog she will become-must keep that in mind when the going gets tough,CarlaBritish Bulldog Puppy-Norma Jean

Multiple Pets and other thoughts

I really love the fact that people open their homes and hearts to many pets-there is always room for more in your heart.I have done many portraits of multiple pets but the one you see here was quite a challenge.10 pets, dogs and cats-some living and some that have passed. This was done from individual pictures of each of them-putting them all together on one canvas for a group portrait for a keepsake for their human.I was happy to do this for her,Carla10 Pet Portrait
